In order to start a new session, you need to remove the cookie
ASP.NET_SessionId
. If you don't know how to do this, here's the step by step with Firefox:- While on the "Your session has been locked" page, right click anywhere in the page and select "View Page Info"
- Go to the "Security" tab and click the button "View Cookies"
- You'll see a list with a few elements. Click on the line that has
ASP.NET_SessionId
in the "Cookie Name" column - Click "Remove Cookie"
Alternatively you can try to restart your browser.
Nice Work. thanks.

ReplyDeleteMille Grazie!
ReplyDeleteHandig!
ReplyDeleteHappy googling :)
This doesn't work for me in IE8, but another option is to use InPrivate. That does work because it does not use cookies.
ReplyDeleteYeah but you shouldn't be using IE8 anyway. Get a proper browser :)
ReplyDeleteAnd in order to make a reservation I wouldn't be surprised if cookies were actually required.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! IT WORKED BEAUTIFULLY#
ReplyDeleteIf you get a 'session locked' message, check your emails to see whether Ryanair has accepted your booking.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, you may clear your cookies, book a flight, and then discover your have made two bookings.
^^ listen to this poster. I just received this message, then an e-mail confirming my booking.
ReplyDeleteSo in other words, this error message isn't necessarily an error messsage!
Be patient an wait for an e-mail.
Thanks so much for posting this little hint! Very helpful! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks ;) I would have been stuck there all day!

ReplyDeleteYour blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestion.
ReplyDeleteIf this can be useful to anyone, five days ago I got the "Your session has been blocked" screen after trying to book with Ryanair, no confirmation email followed. After repeating the procedure today (price went down in the meantime :), I got the same screen, but this time I have received a confirmation email.
HELP! I got the error message "Your session has been locked" and did not receive any confirmation email for an hour. So, I proceeded to book another flight. I booked it ok. And after two hours I got the confirmation of the first one. Now I book the flight twice! Does anyone know how can i get my money back???????????? I'd really appreciate any help! THANKS

ReplyDeleteThanks. Either remove all cookies in the browser history or use the secure surfing mode in google chrome since it doesn´t store cookies.
